The traditional art of kolam or rangoli is a devotional offering to nature and the cosmos, and in south India the women lay down these impermanent designs to cleanse and protect the household daily. In the Tamil language, kolam translates to beauty, form and play, and with this kit you have the chance to encounter and honor this tradition (not appropriate it), to explore the connection between your hands, heart, body and spirit.

We have explored the therapeutic use of this complex artform for years, discovering the power in the smallest mark reflecting the inner state. The ritual aspect of this set allows a deepening of self-understanding through nature-based impermanent creation. Over time, a relationship is cultivated with many elements in the surroundings, grounding self into the larger map of the universe!
